Frankly, substitute the city of Portland for Toronto and you would get an article about the situation here.

The article said it best here:
Drivers charge cyclists with blatant disregard for the law—especially when it comes to stop signs and stop lights. And cyclists (some of whom defend their disdain for such regulations, arguing it's a pain to hop off their bikes at every stop sign) say drivers often act as if they don't exist.

Common courtesy (now uncommon??) is required for ALL drivers.

Cyclists blowing through stop signs boggles my mind. They're just asking to get flattened.

I wish common sense was more common.

In Oregon it's not uncommon to find "not lawful to pass on solid line" signs.

I don't know what to make of that considering what the lines mean is a required question on the driving quiz.

Its pretty much everywhere that cyclist are subject to the same road laws as motorist. So if your too ignorant or stupid, tough shit.

I get pretty pissed when people on bikes think they have the rights of both pedestrians and cars, depending on which law benefits them most at the time. They need to realize they have to obey the traffic laws as well, but for the most part, I think the biking community here is pretty good. Perhaps better biking education would be a good idea to help the situation? dunno.

Lately we are dealing with a difficulty here that just blows me away - Pedestrians using the bike lane and the road istead of sidewalks. So now the road is being shared by three different types of traffic, and we can't all fit. I have to wait for a bike to go around a pedestrian so I can go around the bike and not hit oncoming cars. AAAAHHHHHH!!!

I see probably 20 or more people walking and/or running on the street while there is a perfectly good sidewalk a mere 5 feet away. WTF????

Common sense, not common practice.

I had some fool ride in between me and a mini-van (two lanes each direction) while stopped at a light going to lunch yesterday. (almost taking our mirrors off  ) Me and the van hung back then raced past him. He looked all around like he was being shot at, then went for the sidewalk....
