I have a chance to buy a 2005 with 97,000 miles for 10,000. Gonna try to get the price down but my question is with good maint. how many miles on avg. can I expect to get out of this 6 cyl. motor . people have told me 200,000 . don't wanna spend that kind of money and get junk . any feedback would be great thanks

nissan makes a great engine and if you take care of it (regular maintenance/bigger maintenance when it needs it) it should run till you want to get rid of it. i own a 95 altima and all i have to do is change the oil on a regular 3,000 mile basis. i have done some other stuff to it (radiator, battery, new brakes, etc.) but it gives me no trouble and runs great with 150,000 miles on it. Nissan is a great car, take car of it and you will love it
