Losing Power!!!

Hell all i am new to my site and i have a Big problem. ...
My f150 is all stock and there is nothing new to it at all.
I am driving down the road and i am getting loss of power.
I dont know the terms but im going from 30 to 50 and my RPMs
go from 2 then goes up a little then stops then goes up then stops then goes up.
I check my fuel filter.... I took it out and blew in it and it was harder than a mother trucker. I put a new one in thinking it might be that and my fuel injectors. i also put s cleaning mix in my gas tank and filled her to the max.90.00 bucks on gas.
What can it be? Thanks for reading and for responses. = )

You should first post the year on the truck and engine size. It may help in the diagnosis.

Sorry. I dont knwo what codes are. Truck is 1999 Ford F-150. 4.6L
I was talking to someone and they said it sounds like a sensor.... What are codes and can they help?!?

Well codes are what you get from your trucks computer. You have an OBD 2 system so you would need a scanner to read the codes for your truck. If you do not have one the only way is to take it into a garage and have a mechanic read the codes.
If you are from the states you might have an autozone near you and if you do they apparently scan for free?? I'm Canadian so I'm not sure (It's an american store).
Do you have a check engine light? That usually means that there is a stored code in the computer. If a sensor is bad this would usually result in a code that would need to be read by a scanner.
Other things it could be:
needs a tune up?
battery cables corroded? (mine get corroded all the time, make sure they are clear of corrosion even under the rubber insulated rubber.

Well I check wires to battery and i was thinking it was my Mass Air Flow. So i look up how to do that. I took out that piece with the two wires that feel the air. Then put it back bought a new air filter then took her out for a spin.
I still got nothing out of her. IT like i want it to give power as soon as i hit the pedal but nothing...
I check auto zone they said they stop selling that reading thing. but imma try a couple store around her to fine out what is going on. You know what to look for when i do that? or will they know what to do?

How many miles are on the truck and has it ever had a tune up?

Go to a parts store or wally world (WALLMART) and buy a cheap code tool.

LAU-Creader11 is a $29.95 tool. Stop wasting money get a tool and get the codes.
Type scan tool and look at all of them if you want.
Most independent garages use a genesis or nemisys tester they also sell them.
After you get codes post them. For $29.95 4 or 5 trips for a free scan would use this much gas.

Yeah, don't just start assuming it's this sensor or that sensor. Not only will it drive you mad, it will waste a lot of time and money.
