I just bought a Jimmy and the only problem it has is that the drivers window doesnt work at all. I have taken the door panel off looking for a reset button but cant find one. My dad and i did notice when you press the up/down on the window button you can hear a small click from the motor. the old owner has had this problem for awhile and he would take it to the dealership he bought it from and they would reset the motor, at least thats what he told us. Any ideas on what it could be and what the reset button would look like if there is one?

I don't think there is any reset feature. I had the same problem on my 2000 Jimmy, and had to replace the window lift motor to fix it. The motor costs about $50, and it should be in stock at most auto parts stores.
It's a bit of a pain to get the motor out - you have to take the door panel off and remove the window run channels and take out the regulator assembly. This is the tricky part, if the window is stuck in the up position, because it's real hard to access the important parts of the regulator when the glass is all the way up.
I managed to finally get the regulator out, replace the motor, and reinstall everything, and the window worked again. Note: be very careful to relieve the tension on the counterbalance spring before disassembling. Also, make sure to protect the glass when removing the regulator - you don't want that to break. I taped mine up to the door frame.
Also, by cleaning the contacts on the motor commutator, I got the motor to start working again. For a few days. And then I had to redo the whole process and install a new motor. Probably a better bet to just replace it the first time.
Good luck.
