Were you able to figure anything out? I'm in exactly the same boat. I'm about to pull my hair out. All the wiring seems to be fine. The relay is fine....don't know what to do!

I would start checking bulbs for something out of the ordinary. Look at exposed wiring for something rubbing. Were you running through water during the rain storms in part of the country?

Ha, ha, I live in San Diego. We don't know what rain is =) I've checked all the bulbs, traced the wiring as far as I can. I've even checked back at my trailer connection thinking something may have rubbed through. What about the combination switch in the steering column? Think that may be something to check? Just not sure how to go about it.

These systems are sensitive to bulbs if a daytime running light bulb or backup light bulb are used for a turn signal or brake light they cause problems. The turn signal and brake light bulb has two elements the other ones have one element. I made a mistake on a car with six bulbs in the lense and I replaced the wrong bulb and had problems. I had to pull the other side to determine which bulb went where.
The multi function switch has a problem with the wiring connection some are usually loose try recrimping the loose ones. Use needle nose and tighten the sides up a little bit both ways.
