2003 spec v head bolt torque value

hey whats up im building a motor for a 2003 sentra spec v and i can't find the torque value for the head bolts. If theres anybody out there that has this info please let me know. I've been looking everywhere online and people talk about everything else on the car except the torque specs. I like the car and it runs good but it sucks to see the list of everything that goes wrong with it. So im fixing my friends for him and i hope these problems don't come back!

its a plastic zone bolt, youll need a torque angle gauge as well as a torque wrench, its torqued in like 4-5 different steps ill find it for you

Cylinder head bolts
Step 1 : 98.1 N·m (10 kg-m, 72 ft-lb)
Step 2 : 0 N·m (0 kg-m, 0 ft-lb) (loosen)
Step 3 : 34.3 - 44.1 N·m (3.5 - 4.4 kg-m, 26 -
32 ft-lb)
Step 4 : 75° - 80° (target: 75°) clockwise
Phase 5 : 75° - 80° (target: 75°) clockwise

if youre standing at the front bumper looking towards the rear of the car, the exhaust ports should be clsest to you and this is how the tightening sequence looks shown in numbers, be sure to seat the cylinder head using around 5-10ft/lbs of force before you begin the tightening sequence

so there are ten bolts, of the pair in the middle, the one on the intake side goes first, then come straight back to the exhaust side in the middle, and work your way out... hope this helps you out and goodluck, youll only wanna do this once....lol

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: hey thanks alot, doing it once....you got that right. this is a terrible motor design. one of the butterflies in the intake manifold come off and it with the two little screws got suck through

yeah, they require a repair involving loctiting them into the butterfly actuator

yeah thats what i did for the three that are left. does anybody know where i can get one of those butterflies and the screws. i looked all in the motor and the converter. i have no clue where they went. thanks for everybodys help

its a dealer item, you may have to get the whole assembly

yeah i figured, i looked through that whole motor and its no where. i think it might of came off before or someone took it out. if it made it through the head then those pieces would of made marks on the pistons, but there is none. im getting the head back, piston rings and rod bearings soon i hope. when i get it back together ill post my finished product. oh yeah i got the aftermarket rod bearing that are all the same size. this is just the most basic rebuild you can do, full head rebuild, piston rings and rod bearing, as long as the block is still good.
