Need help I had to replace the water pump and the V-Grooved Belt (Serpente Belt). I cannot find a manual to tell me how to replace the belt. I have already installed the water pump with no problems. Thanks JKB:confused:

I believe you had to remove the belt to replace the water pump right? Im not sure, never done that.

There will be a tensioner pulley that has two square holes in it to accomodate either a 3/8 or 1/2 inch wrench, stick the wrench in the appropriate hole and turn to loosen and the old belt should come off. Do the same thing with the new belt.

For the routing, there should be a picture in the owner's manual.

This is not straight out of a repair manual, I can type that up for you if youd like because I have one, you should pick one up, I had to order mine of the internet.

I would appreciate it greatly if you could type-out or possibly attach a picture of the diagram of how to route the belt it out for me. I do not have the owners manual for the car. I need to get the car running. Thanks A Million. JKB

Well, the instructions are simple, turn tensioner pulley to remove old belt, replace new belt.

As for the routing, even the pics in the manual arent very good, theyre pretty small. and taking a picture of a picture is going to be pretty brutal.

I found this in a quick google search.

His instructions are correct, yet slightly flawed. When he speaks of the CAM, its actually the power steering pump, the pulley on the very top. He starts at that pully and goes to the right if you were standing facing the pulleys.

If you still have the old belt on you could just make a rough sketch of how it goes.
