I just wanted to say hey to the DSMers here at AF. I found this site while researching info on my Windstar and poked in T/E/L area to see what it was like. I usaully get most my info from Tuners, Talk, and a local Detroit forum but I'll be sure to poke through here too from now on.
Here's a few pics of my TSI AWD. I've had it for three years now and it's slowly coming along(house, wife, and 3 kids limits mod funding:frown:) I DD it in the summer months....garage queen during the salty MI winters.

TSI looks good bro!! Welcome to AF. I've got a 91 that I've been thinking about painting black w/ tinted windows and smoked taillights. w/ the FMIC did you use 2.5" diameter on the hot side and 3" on the cold side? Also did you go w/ the long route or short route w/ the piping? Again...welcome man!!

Thanks for the props guys! I figured the plate was appropriate since both my cars are boosted, but I am in the process of selling the Volvo now that I have the Windstar. I'm not looking forward to a boost-less winter:frown:
Ned, while I'll admit black looks dope, it's a bitch to maintain. Mine is factory paint and looks good from 15-20ft, but get up close and :uhoh: I personally will avoid black in the future, but this one was a smoking deal so......
I did all 2.5" piping....short route. My IC is an old school Buschur street core with "back door" inlet/outlet so it was relatively easy to do. I need to get a current pic of the piping since it is now powdercoated in smoked chrome. Here's a pic right after powdercoat.

Here's a few pics of how I routed the piping.

Outside of having a turbo outlet that points down, I don't think it can get any shorter:)

It's Line-X actually. It was all beat up and had been rattle canned by the previous owner. My wife's cousin has his whole Wrangler and his motorcycle done in it and it look tits, so I had my bumper done. It was cheaper than having it painted and now I don't have to worry about rock chips......plus I get to be different! It's a convesation starter for sure, although if I had a dollar for every person that called it Rhino I'd be driving a Z06 by now!
Here's the car last season before Line-X, tint, different wheels, and black anodized IC.

Not the greatest pics, but this was what gave me the idea. 3+ years of offroading and it still looks like it was sprayed yesterday.

My black '99 was the same way. After a wash and wax it looked spotless from 5-10 ft...up close you could see every little imperfection. And it got dirty QUICK. I could barely go 2-3 days before it was noticably dirty again.
Ride looks good btw.

That's the exact same route I'm going to go w/ when I do my FMIC. I've been looking at the Extreme Turbo Systems FMIC & Piping

ETS is a great kit I vouch

The ETS kit looks nice and I've heard good things about their products. That core looks to be close to the same area as mine.....I'm 20x8x3.5. It's a bit on the $pendy side though.....I did my setup for about half that including powdercoating.......got the IC used and fabbed the rest myself.
