Wiring for Aux. Lights

I need to wire in a set of fog lamps and a set of driving lights. Our legislation requires the fog lamps to be wired so they will come on with the low beams and that the driving lights come on with the high beams. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I guess my thoughts would be to either consult a wiring diagram in a Chilton's or Haynes and find the proper wire under the dash - or lacking that plan B, cheap and dirty (assuming both lighting sets have relays on them) simply use a test light to find the right wire at the headlight and run a new wire back to your dash switch, then on to the relay.

In either case you will require relays as the factory wiring won't be sufficient to carry the power required for these.

Got it figured out. It kind of threw me when there was power to both terminals with the headlight switch off. Different, but I'm guessing they control the ground side.

OK, because PA recently changed the "Foglight/Driving Light" inspection requirements so that as long as they are on a switch and can be shut off manually, then you are OK. The old law was they had to be wired to the low beams like yours.
