yesterday i pretty much gave my bike away.
With all the crap going on with my Ex, its easier to sell my bike and pay off debt than struggle with a mortgage and credit card debt. i would have to work my ass off and never ride it anyway.
I had the bike for sale at $11,000 with not much interest, dropped to $10,000 and a few nibbles. As its winter here, its a bad time for a sale. I re did the ad and dropped to $9,500 and sold to the next guy who rang.
I took out all my accessories at that price so i'm still up really.
Now i can pay out my debt and save the money i would have put into that debt into saving for a new bike next year. Bring on the 2008 Blade runout sale!!!!
does that mean i have to resign as a Bike section moderator?????:frown:

We let Speediva stay when she had no bike, so we'll cut you some slack too Blayne. Being winter, you won't miss it as much in the coming months, but don't go buying some step-thru scooter to get you by, we'll have to beat you!

If i EVER ride a scooter, you have permission to remove my testicles with any rusty blunt blade you can find!!!!!!

Sorry, boo. :shakehead
It is sad to let a bike go... and for less than you wanted, to boot... Been there twice before. I hope never to be in that boat again.
Being out of debt is something I haven't tasted in a LONG ass time. Good on ya for making the more adult choice.

I've lost a number of bikes I was quite fond of to money crunches...unfortunately they are always the most valuable thing I have that I can live without, as such they are the first to get the axe.
It always sucks, but as soon as things look up and you latch onto another one, it's like it never happened...
Personally I'll ride anything during those times...had a friend once give me a '73 CB350, rode the hell out of it, regardless of looking like a circus act on it. I found some blown out fiberglass bullet mufflers for it, and it sounded like some kind of psycho gas trimmer....
Another friend gave me an '81 Gold Wing he wrecked, trashing the fairing, tank shell and saddlebags...I took it all off, made a solo seat for it and mounted a headlight...left the internals exposed...looked like something straight outta the Road Warrior...fast as hell too, after shaving some weight...:iceslolan
