99 Blazer front end sway

i have a 99 blazer 4X4 with about 135K on it. i've ended up pretty much going through the entire front end.

- about 200 sets of ball joints
- left bearing assembly
- pitman arm
- both upper control arm bushings
- shocks
- stabilizer bar end links

problem is, it still handles like an aircraft carrier. if you hit a bump while in a curve on the highway, the front end sways all over the place. is this a stabilizer bar? could it have anything to do with the rear suspension?

thanks

It might help to get a good 4 wheel alignment.
Most good alignment shops check everything out before alignment.
Good luck

thanks. did that. everything checks out in the front (they were the ones who told me about the bearing).

do the sway bars wear out?

You are welcome.
I have never say one wear out.
Sometimes they can break or the sway bar links break or fall off and bushings go bad.
Also make sure the tires are good and matched up.
A slipped belt or bent rim or out of balance can give you fits.
Regular and steel belt do not go good together.
Recheck all shocks.
And look for anything lose.
Or have another good alignment shop look at it.
Good Luck.

finally figured this one out. the bracket on the left lower control arm that the sway bar bushings attach to was broken. finally let go last week. i was going to weld it back on, but it looks like i might be better off just putting in a new lower control arm. the boot on the u joint is gone, so i gotta take the front wheel apart anyway. i don't think i can weld it back on and get the correct geometry, so i'll probably just do the control arm.
