97 bravada starting problems........

aloha my friends...i found you guys are the best on helping peeps out....anyways my bravadas been recently acting up...first the guage lights would turn on but the a ticking sound would occur when tried to fire up...a couple tries later i would gas it and it would turn over...that procedure happen for a couple of weeks..now the guage lights wont turn on at all and wont start...but the interior lights are on, radio works, key initiator warining works,and underhood light works...but my truck wont turn over whatsever....please help with any insight...much mahalos....aloha

Sounds like the troublesome 1997 ignition switch problem.
