Guys, i have disconnected the metal coolant bypass pipe on my 98 2.2l crapolier but cant get it out. i have tried getting the alt and serp belt out to no avail and it seems the motor mount arms are also in the way. how the heck do you get this pipe out without a cherry picker? pics anyone? tips? im ready to torch this money pit.

That's not very nice, just because he insults a fine automobile doesn't mean he doesn't deserve some help!

Step one: Cut the pipe into pieces small enough to remove them all
Step two: When re-installing, clamp short sections of hose between the sections of pipe.

There, some crappy advice for a "crappy car".

I would have gladly helped, but not after being insulted! These are great cars, it just depends on who maintains them.

Hmmm... I think we fooled around with ours when it was on an engine stand. I know there is a bolt/ nut holding it in place just behind the coolant temp sensor.

I don't remember for sure.

I need to reaplce one that is cracked and, of course, leaking. Any source or a part number would be greatly appreciated.
