In need of serious help

My 90 Shadow was making a noise like a plastic bag hanging out the window, when the noise was present the car would spitter like crazy would seem to loose speed then it got real bad I turned it off it ran for 1min the next day its getting spark and the button thing is turning in the cap I have no more ideas, as well as nothing else about cars. Please help.

Any other clues would be helpful. Where do you hear the noise coming from? Front left? Rear? When does it happen? Accelerating? Only when cold? At idle? During braking? Certain speeds?

Also, any other symptoms? Rough idle? Vibration? Smells? Car pulling to one side?

Any mechanic would be asking the same questions and they'd have the advantage of having the car in front of them whereas we do not. We'll try the best we can...the more info you give the better answer we can return.

probably just the plug wires, coil, or the pick up under the "thing" that turns in the distributer
