Hey Guys. I started a new project. Im making a Blitz Chaser. Im painting it TS-38 Light Gunmetal, with a flat black interior(although maybe I shoulda gotten a slightly glossier black to make a leather finish....)

Im thinking of takign a few routes here.

1. Full blown replica of Blitz Chaser
2. More subdued, version with stock bumper, and subtle decals
3. Ultra ghetto drift version
4. VIP style w.TV's woofers etc.

Yes Im an indescisive bastard, which I was I'm asking for your thoughts.

If anyone can spare Advan RG's, Blitz Type 03s, Yokohama model 5s please PM me.

Unfortuately thats a paradox.

Most ghetto drifters are stripped completely, except for neccesary equipemt.

You guys should see S13 Iketanis sig. THATS a ghetto drifter.

I am tied between Drifter and VIP, but VIP kicks drifter arse in my opinion. Drift is cool but not as cool as VIP. You should of called the VIP option, Ghetto VIP version :ylsuper Go the Ghetto! I hope you go VIP style.

Alright I started on the chassis, etc. today

Having already done a Chaser before(and severly cocked up may I add)
the chassis was a breeze. Took me a few hours to get everything fitting nicely, but I did it.

Going for TS-42 with a flat black interior. I usually neglect the interior, but I would like to do it nicely on this model. Does anyone have any suggestions for a paint that can give a shinier finish than Flat black so that it appears more "leathery"? How about carpeting and texture suggestions?

Also this car WILL be automatic to reflect the true nature of this car(no manual offered)

If anyone has pics of the real thing, or scans from a Hyper Rev/Sales brochure, please let me know.

Interesting.....

Any ideas to create the leather-ish interior?

i take it you won't be doing a ghetto drifter?

i use semi gloss black and it comes out pretty good for the leathery look.

Ya-My models all suck so I'm going all out.

I'm doing a ghetto S13 w.flat black primer, no paint, a giant hole in the fender for a wastegate, lotsa camber etc. etc.

Thanks Mang!

I was inspired by the Anti-Drug commericals.

I have another one that wont show up, but it has a pic of a 180SX and another sedan drifting and it says

DRIFTING:THE ANTI_RICE

you know my vote, derek. but as long as you don't copy the way i'm doing mine, i'll be happy. i'm going to try to make my look like one of the cars from the D1 drift series. TS-38 gunmetal with decals, camber, GT-Wing etc.

OK, some updates....

My TS-42 started crapping out on me, making little splotches of dark...so I got creative...I sprayed a light coating of TS-38 on which gives a nice shade between the 2 colours...the chassis is done and so is the interior

Now the bad part...I was touching up the body and left the car outside to dry(my parents hate paint fumes) unfortuately, there was a torrential downpour overnight, which left the car soaked...no damage was done(the paint was dry) I just gotta wash of the twigs and water droplets...

Next will be some Advan RG's, the Blitz NURSPEC and then completion

Brian: I wont be putting on decals, as it seems the colour is too dark for the decals to properly show. I also wont have a GT-WING. I may use the Blitz Valance, but only that, as I like the FMIC....
