Shift Knob

I have an 08 fusion and I want to switch out the factory shift knob with a momo knob, has anybody removed one? I just want to know if there is a certain way before I go twisting it and break something. Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, the gear shifter will just unscrew, on some models this bends the teeth in the knob so it wont fit back on perfectly and will be a little loose, but the new knob should screw on nice and tight.
