I have a d16a6 and was thinking about a turbo...so i am just curious what is the most boost I could run safely on stock internals?

7 or 8 is probably safe, 9 or 10 if you're a soldier:D

up to 12psi if you have the right fuel management and some very good tuning.

I've ran 10psi with all stock internals, head gasket, clutch, etc.... with just the Greddy bolt-on kit, a FMIC, BOV, and Profec boost controller. I now have a VAFC, RC 440cc injectors, and plan on getting a high-flow fuel pump, then moving it up to 12-13psi. You want to see some D16 power? Check this link out at the Turbo D16 Forums:

That's nuts.

Oh, he has a CRX, stripped interior, D16 with stock internals, 2mm Greddy head gasket, VAFC, RC 440cc injectors, MSD 6BTM ignition, 20" slicks, and SPEC Stage 3 clutch.

His fastest time is high 11's at around 20psi, but he forgot to adjust his fuel on his run after that, then threw a rod.
