Noisy springs

I just installed a set of Tom's Xdynamic lowering springs on my 95 civic and now the rear ones are making the most annoying noises when i hit a rut, dip, pothole, etc. The performance is great and i'm happy with the buy but the spring noise is just so annoying! Someone suggested i wrap the portion making the noise with a piece of tire innertube. Any solutions guys? HELP!

yeah, wrap the top portion of the spring with some sort of rubber, also, itm ight be that your spring is sitting slightly out of the cup, thus its rubbing on the inside of the spring cup. if you dont ever want to worry about it, get a set of those rubber caps that come with coil-overs that keep the spring centered in the top cup.

After I got new springs installed my suspension makes a groaning noise when it's compressed from a bump or a short stop etc. What kind of noise do your springs make?

My springs make a type of clunking noise like the coils are knocking together or it's shifting in the seat. Checking out the problem on Monday.

Please post what you find the problem to be. A groan is the best way I can describe the sound my suspension makes but it also seems like it's shifting in it's seat or rubbing against the strut. I've had 2 mechanics drive it and listen to it and both are stumped. I need to fix this.

I also had two mechanics look for the pesky sound and both were unsuccessful. One of the guys suggested that it maybe my Prothane trailing arm bushings as it is a floating bushing system, but i don't think so. Just have to continue looking for myself and hope nothing falls off while driving. Good luck with yours.
