if you have a 4th generation Maxima you have to take the intake system out of the way to get to the starter after that the job is easy.
on the second generation you just go underneath the car. If you are speaking of installing a remote starter then I can help you with the 4th generation for I have done both starters and remote starters. You did leave your question kind of open, but whether your speaking of a starter on the 2nd or 4th generation or a remote starter for the 4th generation I've done both myself and know the general things that you need to do for just about any generation. If you have any more questions or want me to walk you through the process I can over the phone it is too much too type. email me at [email protected] with you questions and if you want me to contact you with directions leave your number and I'll call you back.

I've had mine since 97 when they were mass produced. You'll be lucky to find a set of clears now. Probably the only way to get a set is to find someone selling them used but be forewarned they'll be expensive. :(
