Nice colour-combo on the R35.
I really like it.
I see that you have some very slight orange-peel in the paint.
Did you use 2K clear from Zero ? I had a similar effect when using the 2K clear with one of my models. Took some time to rub it out, but it looks much better now. Maybe you could try that too.

You didn't use 2000 grit sandpaper to sand the finished body before using finishing compound cream to polish it to a shine...

I've been wondering where this build was! Didn't know it vanished, lol.
As I said before, fantastic work. Is the candy paint hard to work with? Wet-sanding/polishing candy paints won't affect them will it?

No it won't, just using 2000 grit sandpaper & Tamiya 'finishing' polishing compound. I have tried that on metallic colours with pearl finish over. It doesn't affect the colour.

Good choice of color. But all impression about model is spoilt with bad polishing of a body.

Hope you dont mind in me saying this , but if you have polished out the orange pel problem, this car would have been perfect.
Im mean, i love the color and everything, so if the paint job is silky smooth, it would have been perfect.

Honestly, it's a well-built car and you shouldn't worry too much about the orange peel you do have on this build.
However, wrx_sti_22b's suggestion of 2000grit followed by rubbing compound is WAY too aggressive for your purposes. Especially on a car like the new GTR, with all of its hard edges, you'll burn through the paint in a heartbeat.
What you want is proper wet sanding cloths and/or pads such as you'd find from Micro Mark. The Micro Mark kit starts at 2400, then goes progressively up until you're removing the final scratches with 12000! It really works, and at $20 it's money well spent compared to the number of paint jobs you'll save.

not a big fan of the paint job. that stock gun metal/silver looks alot cleaner i think. it just reminds me of like an old bass boat or an old custom willy at these small town car shows. lol
