 Hi every one I have a vibration kinda grinding problem....I have a 95 Toyota 4runned 4x4 sr5 v6auto with od .It has 169,000 miles and I just bought it 2 weeks ago and it has a vibration kinda grinding when it is driven.I thought it was the drive shaft u joints so today I replace them and then went for a test drive and the darn thing still has the vibration.I noticed that the vibration kinda grinding is above 40mph and will go away depending on my speed.I also noticed that I feel it when I use the gas (letting off the gas is worse than when I'm gasing on it).I have new tires and ballanced all front supension parts were checked out to be good.I have new shocks to put on (i'm sure that they are the originals). What could be causing the problem maybe the front wheel bearings because I feel the vibration grinding i guess up front area............can any one please give some advice on what may be causing the problem................Thanks buckz6319:rofl: maybe the vibration is coming from another area and I just feel it up front.could it be from my tranny it is an auto with over drive and shifts smooth I changed the fluid and filter a week ago and seems fine over drive works well and ect works well also.would the front axel shafts cv's be causing the problen? what about the transfer case yoke nut beilg loose pounding out the bearing

It's your wheel bearings. Replace both the inner and outer bearings on both sides. It's not that hard of a job, maybe an hour or so to do both hubs.

Before you jump into replacing any wheel bearings, check them out.

A quick test is to put the wheel in the air, put one hand at the top (12 o'clock) and the other at the bottom (6 o'clock) and try to rock the wheel.
If there is any noticeable play, the wheel bearing(s) may be the problem.

You may also want to check out the drive shaft u-joints while you're at it.
