Mazda FD3S RX-7 C-West

This is my new project.

Aoshima gave me some Impul wheels, but I don't like them on this car. And they are a bit too small. So I'll use these Volk CE28 wheels.

I think to paint it like the real C-west on the boxart.
This is the colour I'll paint it.

I'll also make a new aluminium N1 exhaust, and do some cf work.

I have this kit too, it's put on hold for now. Can't wait to see how your shapes up.

I don't think Mazda will ever bring out anything as sexy as the FD3 again. Every thing just keeps looking like the RX-8.

The wheels are just a dryfit. There isn't any axle used on the pics. I only placed them for the pics. :smokin:

Yesterday morning I painted the body.

Last night I added the decals, and added some extra decals.

I'm thinking about painting the wheels in black...

How are you going to put those wheels on? You might have to modify the axle a bit because those wheels only have the rubber washers while the model kit has a peg attached to the wheels. Just wondering cause I was going to do the same as well.

A few days ago, I clearcoated the body.

I also did some work on the chassis. I made a new exhaust from aluminium. Polished it and made a burnt tip on it.

And I made some pics with the new rims I'm gonna use.

Those wheels look so good for that body. I hope it ends up sitting that low, because it looks great!

Last days I worked on the interior of this one.

First I painted everything flat red.

I used Hiroboy silver interiorflocking and a shiftlight and steeringwheel from Aoshima. I also added Mr. Model PE sparco pedals (can't see them).

And of course some sportseats.

The body is already polished and I painted the windowtrims, but I'll wait for pictures when I added the windows.

Red on silver is a great choice. If I remember Mazda offered that as an OEM option.

The steering wheel looks like it's at an odd angle to me...:confused: Nice flocking though.

I only have to fit the wheels and do some wheatering on the chassis. And add the lightglasses on the body.
