OEM Keyless entry

I have a basic 98 Lumina ls. It has only the power locks. It has the hand crank windows, so no power windows. I have been wanting to install an OEM keyless entry into the lumina. I just have two question regarding it

1. Has anyone attempted doing the OEM module for the car?

2. If you didnt use OEM, how hard is it to install an aftermarket one?

Thanks guys

I've installed a completely foreign alarm system with keyless entry
to my Lumina97. Since I didn't use any alarm capabilities and needed
only the remote keyless entry I found that thebest place to
install the module is the driver's door.
It's pretty easy to get to all the wires you need, there's an
"always live" +12v wire, and there's plenty of space.
Don't forget the fuse and check with your manual for wiring.

I used the same ideology for my second car, Honda and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for the post Artem F. I will keep that in mind when i break down and decide to put one in. I just felt it might be easier to get an OEM module for the car considering the harness was already setup for one. I might go to the junkyard and look for one and maybe buy a cheap fob for it to complete the deal. I will let everyone know what happends when i can find an oem module or just give up and go aftermarket this time.

If anyone has attempted OEM keyless entry install, my ears are open
