Thinking of getting an 2nd Gen. MR2 Turbo a few years down the road.
My concerns are insurance and if the car is going to be beat up.
I'm 19 now.. what will insuranceon that car be... alot prolly..
also i'd liek to find a car that hasnt been beat to shit.

i want one too..but in ur info it says u have a 2002 GTS ..wouldnt that insurance be a lot higher than an older Mr2...

The insurance companies in Australia would insure a 2002 Celica for a lot cheaper than an MR2 Turbo. This is simply because to them "turbo=bad". If you're under 25, you will find it very difficult (if not impossible) to get insurance for a turbocharged car (especially a WRX) under your name, or for a reasonable price. For example, you could possibly get insurance for a 2002 Celica and pay a yearly premium of around $2000AUD (comprehensive), whereas insurance for a 93 model Celica GT4 (alltrac), woulds require you to pay a yearly premium above $3000AUD, even though the cars older and has a market value less than half that of a 2002 Celica. INSURANCE COMPANIES SUCK!!!!!!!

MR2's are also 2 seaters which would make insurance really high. im 15 and want an mr2 by the time im 16, that shit would make me go broke.
