i have a 99 caravan with the 3.0L , ive tuned it up, i regularly add fuel injector cleaner, i dont drive hard and all i get is about 23 mpg. i bought a van cause some of my friends that own vans told me that they do about 30mpg. ive checked online to see what these vans were rated at and they are rated between 23 -26 highway. the van runs very good but it costs me too much to travel to work. i used to drive a sunfire that got almost 40mpg. but i could live with 30mpg. im just wondering what kind of fuel mileage some other vans are getting is all. any information would be appreciated.

Guess you should have trusted the experts more than your buds. Got a hunch they are padding their figures a tad. It's a rare day when you can get better mileage, let alone 15% better, than the EPA figures. Most get 10-20 % less as you are seeing.
Don't waste money on injector cleaner. I've been maintaining cars 30+ years and have never used it nor needed it.

'96 Caravan, SWB, 3.3 liter V6. I get right at 23 MPG at 70 MPH-75 MPH on the Interstate. I seriously doubt anyone gets 30 MPG on a 3800+ V6 at speed on the Interstate. My 1992 Pontiac Transport with a 3.8 liter V6 got me 25 MPG at speed, so there is my .02 cents

97 3.0 average 24.5 mpg. Have seen 27 on 700 mile highway trip.
