center console removal

I have an 02 LS and the display buttons(fuel, reset, etc) on the center console are a little loose from the front plastic piece. How does the console come out? I asusme there are clips of some kind, but I don't want to go prying at it and break something.

The vent with buttons pull straight out, frictions clips hold it in. You can use something like a small screw driver at the bottom to start.
