Suburban tailgate latch

Hi,

The pass side tailgate latch is not holding when I try to close it. Before I start ripping everything apart. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Did you try spraying it with some lubricant? I had the same problem on my pickup. I like the liquid wrench products, or aerokroil.
