Shifting problems solved. :-))

About a month ago, I posted a thread about shifting problems with an automatic. GM Line Rat was a great help with his diagrams he posted and I was able to fix my issues with ease. This info may be helpful to those who may experience this issue in the future.
I replaced both of the electronic solenoids and wiring harness in the transmission and now it appears to be shifting normal. Thanks everyone for your input.
I don't know how much these selenoids are, but if you happen to need any, you may do well to pull them at a wrecking yard, or a used tranny in your stash. Auto Zone didn't know what I was talking about, when I wanted to check prices and order. Oh well, no biggie. The dealers can help me out when I want to purchase new ones. These buggers are as simple to replace as the filter is. So, if you happen to notice any shift problems in the future, you may want to replace these, at the same time as your fluid and filter. They do appear to be identical in appearance, but when I swiped the ones, from my old tranny, I made sure I replaced them exactly as they were placed. No need to take chances. If you do pull both at the same time, you may want to consider labeling them "front and rear" or any thing to your preference. From what I see on the diagrams, they each serve a different purpose, so be careful in replacing them.

Good to hear it's fixed......And your welcome! This seems to be a common problem with the Metro Automatic transmissions over time. I've had to replace the shift solenoids in 2 cars that I've owned......a 94 Metro and a 95 Buick.

Mine has finally failed hard, and a check of the harness connector at the transmission shows an open in shift solenoid #1 (which correlates to P0753).
I know where to get the solenoid, but I'd like to shotgun both the harness and the solenoid. I can repair the harness (if that's where the problem is), but I'd rather just change it out.
Where did you get yours?

EDIT: The solenoids are not identical. While the parts themselves are the same, the brackets spot-welded to them are not.
