Si and SiR?

I'm confused about what the differences are between Si amd SiR? What does SiR stand for?

the difference is only the country that assembles, in the states they call it a Si and in canada they call it a SIR, over in australia they call it a VT-R.

yet in canada, an Si is equivalent to our EX

yup, thats right. And in Australia they get the 4dr version of the american SI with the B16A2. Wish we ever got it. To late know, cause theres not even any regular hatchbacks but the SI.
I also read that the civic type R is american bound very soon. 200 hp. same engine as the RSX type S.:ylsuper

The SiR also comes in Vogue Metallic silver, ABS, heated mirrors, and I think heated seats.
Our Si does not.

Canada's Si is our Ex.

No, we don't. We got the US built 2 door coupe with a B16A and Del Sol CRXs with B16As, as well as 6th gen hatchbacks, called VTi-R - not as above.

so basically its the same engine (160HP) but different names according to the country?

Performance budget Hondas in Australia were:
5th gen hatchback Si with ZC (~130hp)
6th gen hatch and coupe (hatch was Japan built, coupe US) with B16A
Original model CRX in Australia was 2nd gen for the rest of the world. 88-91. Then Del Sol CRX with both ZC and B16A.
