Problem with fan/defrost/AC ??????

I first noticed this problem a few days ago when I went to use the AC for the first time this summer. When I turned on the AC & cranked the fan setting up to highest setting I noticed the more than the usual clicking sound coming from the engine & the engine fan kicked on. The clicking noise was approx. 2 click sounds about every 10 seconds as if something was kicking on & off. When I went to start driving the car, it started almost lightly surging every 15 seconds. When I turned the AC & fan setting off the problem stopped. The next day I used the defrost in the morning & never turned on the AC & experienced the same problem. Anyone got any idea what is going on? I have the 2006 3.5 liter G6.

The clicking sound you hear is it coming fromthe dash? If so this is a common occurance for the g6. There isn't really a fix for this, most dealers will oil the fan mechanicisms to reduce the noise. If the noise gets louder or worse then I would have it checked by the dealer to make sure something isn't breaking in there such as the blower motor. Mine makes the clicking noise as well as a cricket type noise, but it comes and goes adn I've learned to live with it.
