Ford 9" trac-loc question

A few years ago I had planned to v-8 my 89' S-10 and put a Ford 9" in it. So I crawled under umpteen Ford tucks and Vans and full size cars in the junk yards in my area and came away with 2 rears with trac-locs from trucks and another with 3.50 gears from a van without a locker. I am now not going to do this and am wandering if I rebuilt the locker and rear end with the 3.50 gears and mated them together freshly rebuilt could I turn a profit on it? Would ebay be the best place to sell?
