Hello,
My wife has a 71 MG midget. She likes to drive it but is complaining that its like an "easy bake oven" under the drivers seat. Is this a common problem or is it missing some insulation someplace?
thanks,
Roy

Roy make sure the heater flap is closed off in summer use other than that if its too hot the exhaust may have a leak under the seat and be bleeding thru the floor under it if this is it heck yeah itll be too hot under it

Hillbilly, If the muffler is good, no leaks, get some header tape and wrap it or, make a heat sheild the length of the muffler and secure it between it and the floor. Those cars werent insulated very well, actually, not at all in that area.
Also, check out "The British Car Forum", it's a much better site for the MG series and other British cars. It's free and is loaded with people willing to help. PJ
