The '96 original tires were shot. My local shop searched for the 235/70-R15 white-wall tires from Michelin, Goodyear, Goodrich, etc. without success. I eventually settled on Dunlap black walls. They look Horrendous! The only WW tires he could find was Yokahoma and I had very poor mileage with those on my pickup. Has anyone found a high quality white-wall tire for the RM?

I put Dunlop GT Qualifiers raised white letter tires on my '95 and think they look great. Gives it a sportier appearance. If you are a member ( or know someone who is) at a warehouse club such as Sams or BJs you could find some there. The ones in my area carried them last year , probably still do.
Another good source is www.tirerack.com .Try this link :http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?width=235%2F&ratio=70&diameter=15&skipOver=true&autoYear=1996&diameter=15&sortCode=40200&autoModel=Roadmaster&skipOver=true&ratio=70&autoMake=Buick&minLoad=S&autoModClar=&minSpeedRating=S&width=235%2F&vehicleSearch=true&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&speed_rating=S&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)&RunFlat=All&loadRank=2
I've purchased tires from them in the past and am very satisfied.

Not many cars come with 235/70/15 tires anymore. This size is now used mostly on SUV’s and LT-trucks, so therefore, most come with black or raised white letters. Michelin makes a very nice looking white letter tire in this size. I found that Cooper and Carlisle still make white walls in this size. You have several options regarding the tire, some people use 225/75/15, or 235/75/15. I had the same problem finding white walls for my RM, you just have to be diligent and patient.

I have Dean brand whitewall tires on my '93 Roadmaster. They are about $85 each and work very well. Here in Wisconsin, Fleet Farm sells these tires.

Yokohama Avid Touring. I went to an independent tire dealer and they had to order them. Not many passenger tires available in this size, let alone whitewalls. My last set was some Kumhos, I think 791. They didn't last long. These are wearing well.

Try Discount Tire, if they are in your area. They have numerous brands, sizes, etc.

Another good option for cheap decent tires is the goodride - they are made in China, but I have used them with good success. You can see what is available in your size here (unauthorized ad link removed by Moderator).
