Spark

I have a 1989 f150 4x4 one day it died now i cant get it started how can i chech for spark

Pull a plug wire and install a good spark plug in it. Ground the plug or use a jumper cable hooked to a good ground to ground it. Hold the insulated cable end with the plug in it. You can watch the spark. Be careful the plug can shock you. I have a small screw driver with a bulb in the end I slide it along the boot it lights if you have spark.
They sell plugs you clip to a ground and lights you plug on the plug and the other end on the wire.
