Don't Know What To Do

Hey guys, this is my first post and I'm hopeing you guys can help me out. I drive a 98 Ford Contour SE 2.5L 6c.

Over the past weekend I drove to a friend of mine's place and noticed my Battary warning light flashing and Air Bag Light doing the same.

On my way home the Battary light then goes solid with the air bag light flashing a few times along my trip.

A few days latter I go to a few appointments the light is no longer on at first but then it comes back and then within 10 minuetes my stereo turns off, my warning light is gone, I cant see my left turn blinker but I can hear it, I couldnt roll my windows up, but the car was still running.

Since I was only 2 blocks away from my house I drove home, got into my driveway and my car died. I then took the key out of the ignition, put it into auxiliary and then my wipers began going but nothing else, my car wouldnt even start.

A few hours later I went back to my car and everything was back to normal except that Battary Light was back.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Having the wipers flip back and forth without touching them is an indication of low voltage.

Having a solid battery light means your alternator is not delivering enough voltage to the battery. My guess is your alternator took a crap, you got home running your engine solely on the juice left in your battery, hense the reason things were beginning to stop working. Same thing happened in my old focus.
