M1 2004 Rossi

This moment I'm working on the Tamiya M1 2004 Rossi.
I will be using the Top Studio set, Tamiya front fork set, Gaulloise decals, SMS carbon, some hiroboy stuf and the zero paints.

I already did a lot of sanding and sawing but I've still got a lot to do.

The inside was filled with styreen. The extra welds were made using streched sprue, glue and the back of a scalpel. The whole thing was primed afterwards.

I like your welds, and also nice detailing with the wire. I will look very close to this thread, it looks very interesting.

The wiring is included in the topstudio set, however I find the instructions blurry. At the end of the adjusters I put a little piece of plastic to represent the nuts. I also used two small pieces of metal to stabilise the connector.

Yesterday I airbrushed the rear end. This was the first time I used the zero paints. They rock.

Due to an unknown reason I screwed up my decals of the rear end. So I'm looking for someone who's got these in the sparebox. If not can anyone tell me where I can find these?

the detailing looks nice, but how are you going to paint that ?!? I mean the connectors and wiring. It looks glued together.

You should have painted the parts before and then assemble them.

That's no problem. The wiring and the connector are both black. They will be detailed painted by hand.

Due to future publishing of the model I'm not allowed to post a lot of pictures anymore. The built is going well this moment and the model will probably be published in the new Belgian magazine Art of Modelling and also in Model X.

Again a little update. I've worked on the bodywork and did some CF work.
As I have already said, I'm not allowed to post a lot of pictures but here is one. Hope you guys like it. It's the tail section with the decals and cleared with the amazing 2Kclear.

Well the chain is in progress at this moment, as are the brake discs and other stuff.

Great color!, I really liked the finish, really shiny.

The bike is finished. I'm doing some decal work on the cowling at this time and I'm also working on a presentation plate.

looking great, agree with Roca comment about the seat being thick, I used a bit of muslin cloth & painted liqiud poly onto it, hold for 5 minutes & peeled awy. Left a good pattern.

Yep... it seems that even the real bikes have orange peel... anyway maybe the surface wasn't smooth enough...

Thanx . About the seat, on picture it looks a bit thick but in real time it seems to be better. But next time I will use something different for the seat. I've already got something in mind, but I have to try it first.

A photo of the cowlings. At the moment I'm fabricating a frame to mount the bodywork on. This will be placed next to the naked bike.

All the work is done. Everything is ready on the bike, the bodywork and the display. Fot the display I used a plastic piece that was sandblasted and put some LED in it , just under the engine of the bike. This will highlight the metallic parts under the bike. The bodyparts were mounted on a frame and put aside the bike.
Last weekend I entered competition with the bike and won a gold medal in the category bikes and cars.

Ahh. looks super. Great idea with that spare frame, perhaps I'll steal that some day.

Detailing is just right and on this pic I find the seat just fine. Hope for more pictures. Darker set up to see the lighting better would be fantastic.
