Hey guys, whats up?
My friend has a 92 1.9L SEFI escort that we want to tinker with and have a little fun...
1) Looking at the MAF what can I say, its small!
Has anybody swaped one of these with another maf? I was thinking about putting my old 55mm maf from the Taurus SHO into the car, but I wonder how it will effect the transfer function? Enough to hurt it, or would it not be so bad?
2) I see that supposely 3.8L v6 TB can bolt right up to a 1.9L intake manifold.
3) Resistor on the cold air sensor
What I would like to try is port match the intake manifold and bolt on the 3.8L TB, Install the 55mm MAF, and relocate cold air senso. Maybe make a trip to radio shack and trick it, but from what I understand the o2's will correct the computer, so I dont know if it is worth that.
What do you guy's think? Know any other tricks?
P.S. We took the mouse trap out
Thanks!
Sean

I have a 3.8 in my cougar and a 1.9 in my escort and really don't think that will fit. It's too large, but I might be wrong.

It might be, all I was able to do is a little research, and somebody claims you can do it, but I dont know for sure. I dont think we will be messing with it at all now. Thanks anyway for replying!

Most of it was low end power. But it was worth the $200. Now I just need to swap it out for A 6 and put the system in it.:D
