Intermittent Windows

2001 Taurus wagon has an intermittant issue when none of the windows work from the drivers side master switch or their own individual switches. When you play with sleeved bundle of wires that you can see when you open the drivers door, you can operate the switch for a few cycles. Appears that I have a broken power feed wire .Anyone else have this problem? Any idea which wire is the culprit? Hate to rip open this bundle and not know which wire to fix. Thanks in advance.

The feed wire should be the light blue/black wire in that bundle. That wire provides power from the accessory relay to the master window switch in the driver's door (including the window lockout switch).

You'll also want to verify the black ground wire is not broken/intermittant as the switch also needs a good ground to work.

Thanks shorod. All fixed. Was very evident once I exposed the wires. Large diameter light blue wire was almost broken in half.
