2002 ram 4.7L engine swap

I need advice guys, truck has same 4.7L engine but from a 2003 and it wont start. I was told that 2002 and 2003 have different computer system and different crank and cam gears, how true is this and what choices do i have now? can those crank and cam gears be replace from old engine? thanks!
