Panoz Series- Update

Hey Guys:

I had a long chat with Lee Arnold today, of V8Motorsports. I think he has a fantastic idea and I thought I would share a brief glimpse of the conversation.

Essentially, he is attempting to create a couple of series just for Panoz. Lets face it, they need a home. He has and/or is in the process, of getting the right folks behind it to support it, but it comes down to the Panoz community to make it a reality. IIRC there are 5 races remaining for this year, starting with the RA event on 19-Jul.

I personally suspect is an issue for this season, but I would certainly try to make these events if you can. He is running essentially SCCA GS2, but the Panoz cars will have their own points system/rankings. Additionally, the RA event is not only the debut but cleverly is like a "homecoming" if you will. I am going to try to make the event, if at all possible.

Please take some time and read through the other post for the details as well as his website. This is a very thing and if you can support all or some of the events, please do so.

Feel free to drop me a line with any questions- I took a bunch of notes, but this post is from memory!

I googled v8motorsports and it looks to be in San Diego. :confused: that's a long ways from Road Atlanta... or did I miss something?

The other thread was called "New series for Panoz" or something similar. Their website is v8motorsports.com


I dont remember where he plans the other ones or the dates, but the 19th is defin RA :) (which is good for us because its right down the road!)
