door lock problem

I have a 2000 century. Just realized yesterday that when I lock the doors with the remote, the driver door doesn't lock. I read some posts on door locks, but am a little lost on it. Could someone post something more on what I could possibly do myself. I can see the mechanical locks moving on the other doors, but nothing happens on the driver door. I have to lock and unlock it with the key. Thanks so much.

I would check the wires on the back of the lock switch. Just a good place to start.

My 1996 Buick Regal Has Similar Problems. The Driver's Door Lock Switch Will Not Work, Yet The Passenger Side Will Lock All Doors Including The Driver's.
Do I Need A New Switch - It Sounds Like The Actuator Is Working Because The Passenger Side Switch Locks The Door.
Shall I Replace The Switch?
Thanks - Rick

Lock problem was fixed by a locksmith. It was a job getting the door open.
It was the actuator that had burned out and froze in the locked position.
Not a cheap fix of course. $130 for actuator. $100 for labor. All told $249.00

Oh, I neglected to update my original post. After the problem with remote, the door would not open period. Key, nothing! Locked shut. That's when I got the locksmith, as my other reply mentions.
