Plug Wires

I've got a 2000 sS10 2.2l flex fuel. I can't get the spark plug wires off 2 of the cylinders. I've pulled and twisted but they are stuck. I don;t want to damage the wires..
Any ideas how I can get the wires off the plugs.

Grab the boot by hand and twist and wiggle and pull.
How many miles on it.
May be time for new wires.
