Fuel Filter Replacement

Can someone please help me on how to get the fuel filter out. I was able to pull the hose connected to the top of the fuel filter off. But the hose connected to the bottom, I can't get pull it out no matter how hard I've tried. Should I cut it and try to work with the remaining? Plus, is it just as hard putting the hose back as taking it out? If so, I'll just bring it to the shop then.

The maximadriver site ranks the difficulty level on changing fuel filter as one star... It definitely needs to be reclassified.

It's *supposed* to be easy.
I had the same problem.
Use a good amount of PB blaster and it helps if you have
a equally strong friend to help. One of you holding the filter from above,
and the other one pulling from below. Then just yank like ya mean it.
Once off, it's really easy.
