gauge clusters

How do you tell the difference between an 88-89 cluster and a 90-91 cluster?

if i remember from reading a diff. thread it has to with the seatbelt light
i think 88-89 has a smaller seatbelt light and the 90-91 has a bigger seatbelt light. could be the other way around but that is what i remember from a diff. thread

yes, there was another thread on this, but you can tell by the seat belt like being how you explained, and also an easy way if you ask me, if there are 4 screws on the temp/gas gauges, its a 88-89 cluster, if not its a 90-91

If the cluster is out of the car you can look at the mounting holes.
The top holes are angled up on the 90-91 and they are straight on the 88-89.
