car keeps dying

i have a 99 monte carlo 3.8l and i have replaced the fuel filter and fixed a vacuum leak and it still quits when u slow down to a stop but there are no codes to read and it idles fine and also have replaced the maf sensor about 3 mo. ago. could it be the fuel reg? any help would be appreciated.
