im takin the engine and tranny out of my 77 monte
the cross member bolts are too siezed to take out, i dont hane a torch and rust pentrant isnt workin . . . i dont want to snap the heads off the bolts
instead of doing it this way, can i not just remove the rear tranny mount bolt that holds the tranny to the crossmember out and slide everything forward?
any suggestion would help, this is the only thing i can think of

You might be able to remove the mount and just have enough room to slide the assembly forward to clear the tailshaft housing. You might also have to remove the radiator and shell or a few engine accessories to to accomplish this.
Keeping the fasteners wet with penetrating oil and allowing them soak and work for several hours can also help.

thanks, i think this will be my only option, ill keep the bolts soaked with penetrating oil, itll be a pain to have to slide the tranny in above the crossmember when im puttin it and the engine back in
