Hi I have a 2004 Santa fe that has the single DIN factory CD player. I would like to replace it with the double din 6-in-dash cd player from a 05 Tucson.

Can it be done?

Don't know for sure, but I doubt it. There are the smallest details on the factory radios that make them incompatible with each other. eg. Had to put a new radio in an '06 Tucson the other day. It was the 6cd and tape. Pulled one out of the box, looked correct, but would not slide all the way back. Turns out that there is a slit on the bottom of the radio that allows it to slide it into a bracket on the dash. It was placed in a different spot on this one. Same radio, exact same face plate, everything looked correct, except this one part. Turns out, it was mis-packaged. The Tucson and the '05-'06 Tiburons have the exact same radio, but this one part is different on each one. This one was for a Tiburon, but absolutely would not work on the Tucson. Hard to tell in your case though. I don't stock radios, so I don't have anything to compare.

Thanks,

I am getting and in dash DVD player for the tucson so I would be left with the 6 in dash cd player. I will check the santa fe and see if it fits. I really hope so.
