Are they reliable, and what would I expect to pay?

My civic crapped out on me, I'm in the market for a new (to me) car. I went looking for 97-99 GSXs, and noticed in my search that I was seeing a lot of 00-02 Eclipse GTs for around 8,000 with 60k-ish miles on them. That seemed low to me but I've been out of the car scene for a while, is that normal?

The "3rd gen" Eclipses are not in very high demand, so the value of them drops quicker than the 2g's.

Well is that a fairly reasonable price, or am I just seeing the crappy bottom of the barrel something-will-go-wrong-as-soon-as-I-leave-the-lot type deals?

Stick with the GSX.
3g suck compared to 1st and 2nd gens.
