Automatic Trunk Release 2.4 Galant 2004 DE

I have a pre-owned mitsubishi galant 2004 2.4. It's security is made by AutoMate AM5 which is a 4 button, (1st button = Lock, 2nd Button = Unlock, 3rd Button = AUX & 4th Button is Panic). Manual says to press longer the AUX to open the Trunk but the car never responds. I visit the site to check other resources to program the transmitter but still nothing happens (don't know if i did it correctly). I go to my dealer and asked about it, they said it has to solenoid installed on it.

When i got home i open up the trunk lid of my car to find it out myself. My dealer is wrong and they never did anything on my car trunk to fix it. It has a pre-installed Solenoid with wiring going to the Module Box of Automate. I check the voltage and gives me a reading (car not running) 2.XXX DC Voltage. Is this voltage to low to run my Solenoid? what i know is that it is 12VDC. I try to see some markings on the solenoid to find its rated voltage but nothing is marked on it. Please help how to find out that my solenoid is still working.
