97 grand am starts then dies

hello my wife's grand am seems to be having problems it will start then it dies 1to 2 seconds after starting. ive put new fuel filter on did not help don't know if this had anything to do with it but this morning i installed another cluster fuel gauge rpm guage was not working so i replaced it then went to start it and now i am having this problem ran good yesterday but not today if you can help i would greatly appreciate it thanks for your time.

first i would have fuel pump tested and see how much psi coming from it..good luck...
